Get The Bait (GTB) is a local fishing and lifestyle apparel brand. Combining the iconic metal, skeletal style with a traditionally more practical market, the GTB brand exists in a unique position, which has untapped potential. Bringing life and a trendy take to a conventional apparel market, GTB is a brand with a niche, but large, target market, with an exciting future ahead.
The brief requested for the branding to be illustrated, with a scruffy edge, but still graphic and bold. I illustrated a crafted version of the skeletal figure, in the act of fishing, with a chum bucket, on the edge of a jetty.
GTB’s colour palette consists of essential black, white, and greys, with the inclusion of a dark khaki green, to tye into the traditional outdoor/fishing lifestyle staple.
GTB has a limited range of carefully considered apparel items, which span a variety of age groups. The youthful illustration style combined with the utility of the quality textiles allows for the inclusion of the young, old, and little fishermen to proudly represent their favourite hobby.
