GET THE BAIT
FISHING & LIFESTYLE APPAREL
IDENTITY & ILLUSTRATION

Get The Bait (GTB) is a local fishing and lifestyle apparel brand that blends iconic metal and skeletal imagery with a traditionally practical market. Sitting at the intersection of subculture and utility, GTB occupies a unique space within the fishing apparel industry, with strong visual distinction and untapped potential.

The brief requested the imagery to be illustrated with a scruffy edge, but still graphic and bold. I illustrated a skeletal figure, in the act of fishing, with a chum bucket, standing on the edge of a jetty. The illustration style bringsg personality and edge to a conventional category.

The brand’s colour palette is grounded in black, white, and grey, supported by a dark khaki green to reference classic outdoor and fishing apparel. This restrained palette reinforces the brand’s utilitarian roots while allowing the illustration to remain the hero.

GTB’s limited apparel range is carefully considered and designed to appeal across generations. The youthful illustration style paired with durable, functional textiles allows anglers of all ages to connect with the brand and show off their favourite hobby proudly.
